Our pre-school children occupy the whole of the upstairs, with different areas to suit all children's needs including quiet story time, maths, computer, sand and water, craft and role play areas.

We have a qualified primary school teacher and two qualified early years teachers running the pre-school, which ensures our children get the very best preperation before they go to school.

The children enjoy lots of craft activities such as painting, clay, sticking, and junk modelling. They practise pencil control and soon learn to write their name. Counting, number recognition, shapes, symmetry and telling the time are just a few of the topics covered in our maths time.

Our pre-schoolers enjoy lots of extra curriculum activities including dance, yoga, and French. They visit the mobile library bus each week, take trips to the marina, garden centre and local parks and take part in our annual nativity play and sports day.

We work towards the Early Learning Goals as set out by the Early Years Foundation Stage which prepares the children for their first year at school.
