Government Funding is available to all children over three years old and is paid
on a termly basis. The Spring term runs from January 1st to April 30th, the Summer
term runs from May 1st to August 31st and the Winter term runs from September
1st to December 31st. The grant is available to children in the term following
their third birthday and currently makes a contribution towards a maximum of
five sessions per week.
the funding is a straight forward process and all you need to do is
let us have your child's birth certificate and complete a simple form.
The funding is paid directly to the nursery and is then deducted from
your monthly invoice.
There are a number of childcare voucher schemes currently in operation.
These are a preferred means of payment for many parents as there are
significant savings to be made on Income Tax and National Insurance
contributions. Parents can choose to accept vouchers, up to a maximum
of £243 per month, instead of an equivalent salary and by doing
this the voucher amount becomes Income Tax and National Insurance free.
For the basic rate tax payer this means a potential saving of £962
per year and for the higher rate tax payer a potential saving of £1195
per year. Both working parents are eligible to receive the vouchers
so joint savings of up to £2390 are possible. To use any of the
voucher schemes you will need to find out whether your employer is
associated with one of the scheme operators.
