Elf Day

On Friday 6th December children and staff unleashed their inner Elf and dressed up as Elves for the day to help raise awareness for Dementia. The event was an initiative by the Alzheimers Society to raise funds and awareness.

Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading dementia charity and provides expert information, training, and support services to those who need their help. Their research program focuses on improving care for people with dementia today and finding a cure for tomorrow. As we have close connections with the elderly community in our area we are very proud to support an event such as this.

Staff and children dressed up as Santa’s helpers for the day and played Elf themed activities, baked Elf biscuits, made Elf masks and took Elfies as all part of the fun!
Some of the nursery children and staff also shared the Elfy festive cheer with two of the local elderly people’s residential homes that we visit. They took part in some Elf activities and Santa himself came to visit as well.
